I own a Fender Musicmaster Bass amp, which is the only amp made by Fender that used an interstage tranformer as the phase inverter. I bought this transformer to build a clone of the Musicmaster Amp. Does it work? YES, this interstage transformer can be used to build a Musicmaster amp clone. There is not a lot of tech info on the forums about interstage transformers being used as phase inverters. My measurements on my clone build compared to my "real" Fender, confirm that this is a suitable replacement for Fender part 026847a used in my 1978 Musicmaster Bass Amp. The transformer sold here is physically smaller than the Fender part.
