I used this for parts, made a custom footswitch for an old Peavey tube amp. I ditched the cable, which isn't shielded by the way. I used the metal box, the switches and LEDs, rewired with a new custom cable. Had to modify the amp as well, to provide power for the LEds. I could have started with a blank box, but his one is good and sturdy, nice form factor, already drilled and finished. Saved me a Lot of time versus making a box from scratch.
