The JJ Electronic ECC83MG / 12AX7MG is a new take on the classic 12AX7 preamp tube. While it uses the same rugged build and thick glass as other JJ preamp tubes, this tube differs in construction from the typical 12AX7 in that it features a medium-long plate. The JJ 12AXMG has a dynamic and open sound with a rich forward sounding mid range. This tube offers low noise and low microphonics.

Bought this as part of a kit for my '76 Fender Vibro Champ. Fits, works beautifully, and solved a problem with the speed and level settings of the built in tremolo. Also, the tube kit arrived before the estimated delivery, allowing me to use my amp in a gig I was going to have to borrow gear for.

Retubed a Fender Super Champ XD and it sounds great! Had a few questions and received good advice plus insightful info from the staff at Amplified Parts. When in doubt, call then and have your expectations exceeded. Thanks!

Amplified Parts was very helpful for me to repair my amp. I replaced most of the capacitors and some resistors, and replaced a few tubes. They sent out my order in a timely fashion, they have a good selection of parts and components. I repaired a 1977 Ampeg VT-22 , and now the amp is working great. Thank You Amplified Parts!

I will not buy any Russian Pre-Amp tubes because they

don't last. They sound great when their new, but quickly degrade in

sound, and I have a tube tester to verify the quality

condition.

Having said that, JJ Pre-Amp tubes have been extremely

reliable and test strong on my tube tester after over

a years use.

The standard JJ 12AX7 pre-amp tubes sound a bit

aggressive in the midrange and top end, so I decided

to give the 12AX7S-MG's a try.

I completely noticed a difference in a more

balanced, fuller Mid and Top end sound.

I would definitely recommend the 12AX7S-MG's. You

could probably get some great results using these in

the V1 and V2 socket and use standard JJ 12ax7's for the rest

of the Pre-Amp sockets.

If you like JJ pre-amp tubes for their reliability but feel like their a bit aggresive,
try these out!

These will give you some positive options.
