Report Review for product Transformer - Hammond, Guitar Amplifier, replacement for Fender, 120 V

You are reporting the following product review:

The transformer came very well packed. It is a very well made product. I was eager to get it in my bassman rebuild and so I took a few measurement with my ohm meter and they seemed pretty close to the old one. The "old one" is a 68 silverface AB165 that had shorted out by the power tubes. I removed the burnt resistors and replaced the board and tested every component and kept what was good and replaced what was not with NOS components. I was getting low heater voltages, low B+, etc. so I figured the Power transformer wasn't up to snuff. As I was getting ready to de-solder the transformer I started to remove the eyelet board in the upper left (full wave bridge + -bias) and the bias supply lead just popped off. It was hanging by a thread. I re-dressed the lead and soldered it securely to the board, and also the red leads. I powered it up and lo and behold, almost perfect B+ and the heater voltages were stronger, and so on. B+ was 424!
I am writing this because perhaps it will help someone, and to document the return on the transformer. It is an expensive item to ship back and forth.
I was really proud of the job I did, virtually took apart every bit and resoldered everything, especially the underboard connections, and it didn't smoke or blow up when I powered it up. It sounds really great, very quite.
Now I'm going to make a speaker cab for it. I'm looking at those new N12K speakers for it. Lighter weight is good. I just had back surgery.
