Happy to report that I love the sound of these things in a Marshall Master Volume JMP. These replaced a pair of Winged C 6550 which i dropped on a cement floor while removing them to move the amp (bummer). These have every bit of the (very) bright, cutting, detailed sound of the Winged C that make the 6550 so worth using, but the lows, which can get very flubby and buzzy with the Svetlana or a GE are tighter and more detailed with these tubes. These also seem to have a somewhat softer, and/or more harmonically rich sound when overdriven, and are, for lack of a better phrase, less ragged sounding than Winged C or American made 6550 tubes. These are obviously made with the JCM800 in mind and they've done a great job. At this point I still would'nt use these to replace Winged C's in any other application, but these are my new tube of choice for Marshalls, where the Overdrive sound is what its all about.
