Report Review for product Reverb Tank - Mod® 9AB1C1B, Short Decay, 3-Spring

This reverb tank was exactly what I was looking for. My Fender Princeton clone came with an Accutronics 9AB3C1B (3 springs, long decay) and it was just too much. The effect was too pronounced unless the reverb was very low and that wasn't what I wanted. I tried a 4AB1C1B (2 springs, short decay) and it was too artificial surfy to me. I exchanged and got this 9AB1C1B (3 springs, short decay) and it was perfect. I can keep the reverb prominent but the decay is exactly where I want it. Everyone's tastes will vary, but make sure to think carefully about what type of spring reverb sound you want. Unless you're playing surf guitar, probably 3 springs, and at least for me, short decay was the winner.
