This short 3 position toggle switch is specifically made as an upgrade to replace the el-cheapo 3 position toggles found on Epiphone LPs and other Asian-made guitars. It's made for guitars that don't have the cavity depth to house the long Switchcraft toggle. Any pro LP player will tell you that a Gibson LP's long toggle (Gibson always uses a Switchcraft) has a feel, sound and unmatched reliability of no other 3 position toggle switch on the market.
