This tube is so close the Sylvania/Phillips tall bottle 6L6GC-STR, that I use it as a direct replacement. i mean that literally, i will match one of these up with a Sylvania, if needed, without any issues at all. Really the best New 6L6GC.
These are great tubes! They
These are great tubes! They sound excellent in all of my amps (Hot Rod Delux, 65 Bandmaster, THD Univalve) I have an old RCA 6L6 that I run in THD, the winged c 6l6 sounds just as good.
I have no reason to dislike
I have no reason to dislike the Winged "C" 6L6GC tubes. I bought them based on the large number of positive reviews out there for using them in a Twin Reverb (and other amps). I haven't had the opportunity to hear many options and suspect I would really need a blind A/B test to really feel I could say I hear a difference. I'm mostly writing the review to say that AmplifiedParts has great prices and shipped this right away so I got this and my JJ 12AT7 tube in 3 days and didn't pay any shipping...so I recommend the company.
