Cheap metal. It works but after a period of time, the soft metal the parts are made of starts to bend and completely lose its grip - the clips simply fall off. Every time. It's a great tool but needs to be made of a smarter material. This is basically aluminum that needs to be recycled.
At this price I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised. Well made with decent weight to hold my work.
This little stand is fantastic. Great for so many applications.
