The Mod Electronics Reverb Tanks are high quality upgrade units. Some of the major differences between the Mod®s and other reverb tanks are that the Transducers are wired directly to their respective RCA jacks as opposed to current production tanks where Transducers are connected by a detachable plug to their respective RCA jacks. This makes the tanks less receptive to any outside interference. The original Hammond Accutronics tanks from the 1960s were also wired directly to their respective RCA jacks. In addition, very close attention has been paid to the spacing and size of the lamination of the Transducers resulting in a more vintage like tone.

Excellent sound and feature.

The packaging was very well done. It survived shipment to Canada with no incident. It even arrived within the 6 weeks international shipping time (which is really good considering how some things can be delayed during this time)

I have never owned an amplifier with an actual spring reverb, the ones that have reverb effect is that digital reverb emulation stuff.
A long time ago I played on an old Fender Twin in high school and that was when I fell in love with the sound of a spring reverb. So I went down a small rabbit hole trying to find effects pedals that give me a good reverb sound.
I had an old tube amplifier that did not have reverb in it at all. Or effects loop. So I went on an adventure to learn how tube amps work. And then I modified the amp to include a tube reverb driver circuit, complete with 12AT7, 12AX7, EL844, and a small output transformer. The appreciation of tone is one of those subjective things. and while I acknowledge it is perhaps less expensive and more efficient to use these higher impedance reverb tanks directly from an amplifier/buffer, I am very much a believer that the good reverb tone comes from over driving tubes through an output transformer.

I have installed the reverb tank into my amplifier and now I am able to get anywhere from "just a little bit" of reverb to full out wet snappiness of awesome springy goodness. For an amplifier that did not have reverb before, this has given entirely new life to this. I only had been holding onto it because it was sentimental for me. But now it is the main amp in my home rig.

This unit is very long. There is another shorter reverb tank that has similar configuration of 3 springs and 10 ohm impedance as well. I have a feeling that would be very similar to this one, but would still like to try that one too some day.

So the only down side to this tank, is after building a driver circuit and using it, I feel like I need to build another reverb unit sometime, and I don't have any more amps at this time that need reverb.

I changed the reverber of my Cornford Carrera, because it was lyrical sound, it was supposedly an accutronics, which was replaced 8 years ago, it has no label to certify it. I was reading about the different brands and obtained by MOD and not by TAD simply by discarding. I like the sound of the reverb is lyrical, also maybe I would improve even more by changing the cone of my ampli, but I will not do it for now. Thank you for your speed of delivery and have our post service. JJJJJJ

The verb tank worked wonderfully. My Super was missing the reverb when I got it, so this was any easy most effective addition. I installed it right before a gig and no problem whats so ever. Very happy with the treatment I received and the quick and affordable shipping. Adding Amplifiedparts to my list of faves. Thank you guys! Rob J. Henryville, In
