The MOD Reverb Tanks are high quality upgrade units. Some of the major differences between the MODs and other reverb tanks are that the Transducers are wired directly to their respective RCA jacks as opposed to current production tanks where Transducers are connected by a detachable plug to their respective RCA jacks. This makes the tanks less receptive to any outside interference. The original Hammond Accutronics tanks from the 1960s were also wired directly to their respective RCA jacks. In addition very close attention has been paid to the spacing and size of the lamination of the Transducers resulting in a more vintage like tone.

i put this tank into my usa crate palomino its a 15 watt tube amp and it made the reverb super strong i cant turn it up past like 3 or else it sounds like im in space. which may work for a song or two. good tank all in all though

I received the unit and installed in my Fender Frontman 15 amplifier. There were 2 problems : 1 - the in and out plugs were inverted compare to the stock unit so I had to stretch internal wires to reach but it worked. 2 - when first plugged the amplifier emitted a whistle sound. So I compared both wirings to find out the new had a grounding solder at the output. I removed it and then the sound became a wonderful reverb, better than the original. Many thanks although the 2 minor glitches. Your unit is of great quality sounding better than my Frontman 25 reverb! On a 12 inches cabinet. Thus I saved a nice little practice amp from going to parts recuperation. To have years of fun ahead.
