A T-Filter Pedal Kit - the Mod® Electronics Tea Philter pedal produces a fixed wah tone allowing you to lock it in without rocking the pedal back and forth. Every guitar/wah combination has a certain sweet spot that is perfect for lead and chord work.

The Tea Philter lets you dial in everything from your favorite vocal mid-range tone to thick lows. Using point-to-point wiring and easy-to-follow instructions you can have a working fixed wah pedal in a matter of hours.

The effect pedal operates on a 9V battery. For a longer lasting option, a 9-volt adapter can be purchased separately. The Godlyke 9-volt adapter (M-PAS-S) may be purchased separately to power your new pedal.

I love this pedal kit! Sounds great and is perfect for soloing where you want a mid boost to cut through the mix and fill in where the vocals normally are.

Great instructions and a fun little build. I stuffed mine into a smaller enclosure so it would take up less space on my pedal board and to just increase the challenge/add creativity to the project. My only complaint, and the reason for the 4 star rating instead of a 5, is that I think the LED mod should have been standard in the kit. This is a really transparent effect and depending on where you set the knob, it can be hard to tell if it is on without a light. I did buy the parts later to do the LED mod, but would have preferred to get it all done up front.

Definitely going to build more of these MOD kits in the future!

What a fun project! Just finished up and gave it a test flight. Kit was of great quality, components where well made and the instructions couldn't have been better. What impressed me was the instructions where set up for both visual people like myself and step by step written so no matter how you approach the project you can be successful. Very good, I highly recommend........b.......

Great project. Really good instructions. Set screw was missing from blue knob, so I cant use the knob. Other than that I m really happy!!!

This was the first pedal I have ever built. I have had extensive experience with guitar electronics as well as building my own pickups. Suffice to say I am pretty handy with a soldering iron. My order arrived 3 days after placing the order......EXCELLENT!

This was so much fun and so easy, my only complaint would be I didn't do this sooner. The instructions are idiot proof. If you check off your parts list and mark off each step as you progess you will have no problems whatsoever building this pedal. From opening the package to plugging in my Gretsch, I spent 45 minutes on this project! If you are the least bit hesitant about building your own pedal I highly suggest you buy this kit. It will give you the confidence to try more difficult projects in the future.

Here is the fun part.....HOW DOES IT SOUND?

This effect has been used by countless famous musicians as a "secret weapon" in their tone. From Frank Zappa, Jimmy Page, Billy Gibbons and Brian May, the "fixed Wah" filter effect was an essential part of their signature sound. Some people will critique this pedal poorly because it does not use an inductor....forget the inductor! The Tea Philter nails this tone in spades! I used my Flextone XL amp to really put this pedal through its paces, dialing in ideal rigs for each of the artists listed above. With a sweep of the knob I was able to faithfully replicate each of their respective tones. Plugged into my Vintage Bandmaster Tweed, this pedal produced even order harmonics with the amp in overdrive that let notes sustain forever (ala David Gilmore). I was a bit worried about volume drop with this pedal but was pleasantly surprised that this wasnt an issue. It was 100% noise free and it is built like a tank.

I can see all types of players using this effect. From classic rock, blues and even hard rock and metal players pushing their distortion into even order harmonics, I think this pedal will find a place on many folks pedal board.

I have been a semi-professional musician for 18 years. I have owned or still own just about every guitar and amp combination you could imagine. I have a stable of vintage and boutique amps as well as pro level Gretsch guitars, Vintage Les Paul Standard and custom built Telecasters. I have been using this effect for many years with my wah but am very Happy I can reproduce the same tone with a flip of the switch.

Thank you MOD Kits!! I will be buying another kit very soon!
